Why the Teen Dramas Aren’t Taken Seriously
In this essay, I explored the reasons the teen drama genre isn’t taken seriously by Hollywood, the A-list, critics, and awards shows.
I also argued why such shows shouldn’t be discounted merely as “guilty pleasures.” I certainly don’t feel guilty about loving them and no one else should.

The beginning of this roundup detailed the rightful backlash Tori Spelling faced for posting a fake pregnancy announcement on April Fool’s Day.

With “The O.C.” rewatch podcast launching this day, I collected a bunch of interviews Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke did to promote it, and I summarized everything we knew about the podcast’s production.
The roundup also included two new trailers featuring teen drama stars, divorce news, and interesting interviews with Grant Show and Peter Gallagher.
You may have noticed I played around with posting frequency this month. This was partly because I am still under the weather and am trying to fulfill one of my goals for this year: respecting my limits and giving myself grace. I will continue to mix up the frequency in May (and feedback is always welcome), but one thing you can definitely count on to happen as normal is our quarterly Teen Drama Trivia Night! Our next game will take place on May 21, so mark your calendars now!
Remember, Teen Drama Trivia Night is only open to premium TDW subscribers, along with the weekly “Teen Drama Links” and my in-depth essays. Make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss out on all May will have to offer!
