ICYMI: February's Premium TDW Content
How we already at the end of February?! Even during this shortened month, premium TeenDramaWhore subscribers enjoyed four in-depth essays, four news roundups, and one very fun Teen Drama Trivia Night.
If you aren’t a premium subscriber, here’s a full rundown on what you missed over the last month.
Chuck and Blair: An Abusive Relationship?
In this essay, I argued fans should be more upset about Chuck and Blair ending up together on “Gossip Girl” than Dan and Serena.
I outlined the many ways Chuck and Blair’s relationship was toxic and filled with both physical and emotional abuse.
I also pointed to articles from when “Gossip Girl” aired and in the years since then that drew attention to the unhealthiness of Chair.
The Shift from Dawson’s Creek to Joey’s Creek
Was “Dawson’s Creek” misnamed? I think so!
In this essay, I traced the show’s evolution from being centered around Dawson to centered around Joey.
I also collected examples of some of the hate for Dawson, who was ostensibly the series’ protagonist but seemingly very disliked by viewers.
The Redemption of Dan Scott
By murdering his own brother, Dan committed what I see as an unforgivable sin — but “One Tree Hill” tried to redeem him anyway.
This essay focused on Dan’s journey throughout the show’s nine seasons, with specific attention paid to his post-murder behavior and his own death.
I know where I stand on whether or not Dan was actually redeemed… the question is, where do you?
Am I Hypocrite?
This was by far the most personal of this month’s premium essays.
I realized the way I view “Beverly Hills, 90210” and the way I view “One Tree Hill” — and their fans — are contradictory.
In examining the concept of “true fans,” I pledged to stop judging others’ fandom.
Teen Drama Links for February 2, 2021
This edition of my weekly teen drama news roundup doubled as a welcome to new premium TDW subscribers.
Articles included deep dives on the music of “Dawson’s Creek,” the fashion of “The O.C.,” and the never-ending “Gossip Girl” / “Bridgerton” comparisons.
Teen Drama Links for February 9, 2021
This installment came in the wake of Donald Trump’s letter to Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea, Beverly Hills, 90210) and his ridiculous assertion that he was unfamiliar with her work.
There was also news on Jason Priestley, Michelle Williams, Adam Brody, Sophia Bush, Sebastian Stan, and more.
Teen Drama Links for February 16, 2021
After “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” creator Joss Whedon was accused of misconduct, I pointed out the sad ways the situation was connected to the teen dramas.
More happily, there was good news about Tiffani Thiessen, Greg Berlanti, Shantel VanSanten, and Shenae Grimes, among others.
Teen Drama Links for February 23, 2021
Here I highlighted some weirdness and fishiness amongst the cast of “Beverly Hills, 90210.”
Links also included a look at Jennie Garth’s turn on “Celebrity of Wheel of Fortune,” coverage of Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke’s reunion, and an in-depth interview with some of the stars of the “Gossip Girl” spinoff.

Check out all of the questions and see how you might’ve fared.
So, what can premium TeenDramaWhore subscribers look forward to in March? Well, more essays and news roundups, of course! But I am most excited about one of the biggest perks of a premium TDW subscription: our quarterly Zoom chat with one of the key players in the teen drama genre.
If you carefully watched last week’s interview with JaNeika and JaSheika James, writers and co-executive producers of the new “Gossip Girl,” you already know who our special guest will be: “Dawson’s Creek” co-executive producer Gina Fattore!
