Teen Drama Links for January 24, 2023
Do you remember where you were 25 years ago this week?
I sure do. I, at all of 10 and a half years old, was seething that a new show called “Dawson’s Creek” was trying to steal the “Beverly Hills, 90210” spotlight.
Nevermind the fact that, in its eighth season at this point, the “Beverly Hills, 90210” characters were out of college while the new “Dawson’s Creek” crew was in the midst of high school.
I saw the show as a copycat and a threat, as I previously admitted in my reflection on my first impression of “Dawson’s Creek.”
Twenty-five years ago, I didn’t want to let “Dawson’s Creek” into my life. Now I can’t imagine my life without it.
This is the first of the show’s two milestones this year, as May will mark 20 years since the series finale.
Five years ago, for the 20th anniversary of the show’s premiere, we were treated to the Entertainment Weekly reunion. I’m not expecting anything as extensive and special this year, but you never know.
After all, “Dawson’s Creek” has surprised me before — and we did get this sweet new video with some of the cast.*
*There is lots more “Dawson’s Creek” anniversary content below, including new interviews with creator Kevin Williamson. To keep strolling down memory lane, check out my own “Dawson’s Creek” content on TDW’s “Interviews” and “Originals” pages.

Williamson also wrongly says “Dawson’s Creek” had “seven seasons” — oy.
