Do I have special powers?!
Just one day after I wrote that I was losing patience with the wait to find out when the second half of the “Gossip Girl” spinoff’s first season would premiere, the date was officially announced. Not only that, but we got a trailer too!
This is all because of me, right? Okay, probably not. And be careful what you wish for because rather than exciting me, the trailer just reminded me of how “meh” I feel about the show thus far. Will that change with part 2? Consider me skeptical.
But in any case, the episodes should drop weekly November 25 through December 30, and I’ll be doing reaction posts for each one. We’ll see how it goes, for better or worse.

This is quite the comparison and really thought-provoking: “Dawson Leery Walked So ‘You’s Joe Goldberg Could Run.” (Jezebel)
Joe, of course, is played by Penn Badgley (Dan, Gossip Girl), and “You” is executive-produced by Greg Berlanti (executive producer, Dawson’s Creek).
The piece also works in references to Scream, which was written by Kevin Willamson (creator, Dawson’s Creek).
Oliver Hudson (Eddie, Dawson’s Creek) is profiled in People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” issue. (People)

“Welcome to the OC, Bitches” and “Drama Queens” are highlighted in “Celebrity rewatch podcasts are here to guide you through your nostalgic TV binge.” (Vogue India)
This criticism for “OC, Bitches” surprises me: “Bilson and Clarke lean a little too heavily on their star power and not enough on research and structure, leading to episodes that sometimes feel poorly planned and slightly disjointed.” That more describes “9021OMG” and “Drama Queens” to me. Melinda Clarke (Julie, The O.C.), in particular, is stellar with research.
Bethany Joy Lenz (Haley, One Tree Hill) stars in and executive-produces a new thriller called So Cold the River that was bought by Saban films for distribution. (Variety)
Tyler Hynes said it was “great” working with Lenz on their new holiday movie. (Digital Journal)
