A fashionista who worked for Fashionista who fell in love with the fashion on “Gossip Girl”?
That would be Tyler McCall.
Oh, and did I mention she’s also a “Gossip Girl” historian?
To say Tyler is an incredible teen drama fan would be an understatement. For starters, she’s interviewed “Gossip Girl” executive producer and spinoff creator Joshua Safran, as well as costume designer Eric Daman (and a bunch of other celebrities, BTW).
She appeared on multiple editions of the “Gossip Girl” rewatch podcast “XOXO” with Jessica Szohr. And she’s treated us to the #SerenaSaturday and #WaldorfWednesday series on Instagram.
She was also Fashionista’s editor-in-chief and has written for The Cut, Glamour, Elle, InStyle, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, GQ, The Wall Street Journal — the list goes on and on.
Tyler, who has roughly 120,000 followers across TikTok, Instagram and Twitter combined, says in her TikTok bio that she’s “trying to be the Blair Waldorf of Brooklyn.” But maybe Blair Waldorf might want to be the Tyler McCall of the Upper East Side?!
On a recent Zoom chat, Tyler and I discussed...
-Her favorite “Gossip Girl” storylines
-Her thoughts on (spoiler alert!) Dan being Gossip Girl
-Her take on the “Gossip Girl” spinoff
-The book she wants to write about “Gossip Girl”
-The other teen shows she grew up watching
-Her favorite celebrity interviews
-Her erotic audiodrama voiced by Andrew Scott
