I think the struggle that Jennie and Tori are having is that they want to talk like they would as friends in real life. Do we talk to our friends in tangents probably most of the time and we talk to our friends about our mutual friends (reference to bringing up Ian’s alleged short fuse which is odd because he did an interview where he said he actually has a long fuse. Could be misquote though so take that with a grain of salt). I think that’s the struggle they can talk like friends would but it needs to be more control and professionalism to it. IHeartradio needs to hire them better producers and assistants who can come up with segments to keep the show on pace and on topic and also to keep them on task of talking about the episode with proper notes. I put 51 percent blame on Iheart be as they could have people their to guide Jennie and Tori as they are podcast virgins but I put the other 49 percent on Jennie and Tori because they could take initiative to control and better plan their podcast.

I completely agree... iHeart should be putting on a better and more organized show. But maybe it’s just a handful of us that have issues because they keep doing the same thing week after week.

I was thrilled David was on. So disappointed that he has not been on the other podcast yet.

Deborah: I loved hearing about her career but they always choose weird times to have people on who really have nothing to do with the actual episode they are discussing.

In a perfect world I would have had Kyle and Steve on together and Cindy to discuss Brenda and Dylan. I love them so much in this episode. The moments between them gives me chills. So sweet and romantic! Also Ann would have been a great guest! Do they ask people and they say no or do they have no clue who to ask... I’m confused. I love Ann and Jennie together - With all the mother/daughter talk on the beach.

This discussion of my favorite episode fell flat but I was just so freaking happy David was on it! So it was okay even though it wasn’t.

IHeartRadio are most likely in charge of booking and stuff so they need to be smarter about when and who they book at which times. I think maybe if Jennie and Tori were doing a freelance podcast it would hit different because it would be in their own terms kind of. IHeartRadio I always say I put 51 percent of the blame because they are the producers and they are the ones that are pushing it. They need to reign their “product” in.

I was hoping they would come on and say.... we love this episode so much.. like they did with spring dance, just because it’s my favorite episode. I just have so much enthusiasm for this episode.

Fingers crossed David comes on Pete’s podcast and it goes much better.

You are spot on. I also think Jennie and Tori WANT it to be a "girl talk" podcast even though they marketed it as a "Beverly Hills, 90210" rewatch podcast. They should've just done a weekly "girls' night" chat show. But that wouldn't allow them to capitalize on the "Beverly Hills, 90210" brand as much.

Exactly and IHeartRadio wouldn’t have put all this money and press behind it otherwise. They probably wouldn’t have gotten a deal with them without it. They should’ve just had a freelance video podcast that would allow them to do and say what they want on their own terms. And get guest on their own terms.

Agreed.

I can understand why they wouldn’t want their podcast to be a freelance podcast because you don’t make money off freelance podcast out the gate. It takes a lot of time to really start to make income off a podcast like that. And I’m sure they considered that.

Absolutely, because I think it's all about making money for them.

Well my theory is that this was Tori idea because of her money troubles and she needed Jennie to do it to get the deal. I say the because I think financially Jennie doesn’t seem to need it but Tori may have. That’s not to shame Tori. Everyone has to do what they have to do to provide for their families and Tori has a big family.
