Robin left out the funny part that Jason Included in his book. She was dating Ricky Schroder at the time she met Jason and he was friends with David Sherrill. So they had to sneak around and almost got caught until David told them to stop and come clean. Pretty funny.
I only listened to the first episode and it was a pretty hard listen. They really should mold their show after Office Ladies, which is excellent. Now, they probably need a better lead host and producer if that's going to happen, but there seems to be a clear outline with Office Ladies that I didn't hear with Jennie and Tori. They sort of felt like they were making it up as they went.
A few people I've spoken with have also made the Office Ladies comparison! I never watched "The Office" so I don't follow the podcast, but I agree this podcast is missing structure.
I didn't watch the Office during its first run, but since it's on Netflix, it's been a great once a night watch before bed. Very enjoyable.
I have so many ideas in how to make Jennie and Tori's podcast structured and organic and not just a rehash of what's already been done, but that might be too much effort for what they're actually trying to do.
When I saw the promo for it I thought it was a cool idea, but soon thought that if it wasn't organized, it could probably be pretty bad. And yah, that was what I heard on the first episode. They can be so charming and fun, but I don't feel like that is what is being produced.
As I said here, I think this was the most focused installment yet. But whether that was a fluke or a sincere attempt to make the podcast more organized, well, time will tell. Definitely curious to see whether the next edition shows more signs of improvement or if it reverts back to the structureless format. You might be onto something with thinking it'll be too much effort, though...

Thanks for the fun fact! I met Ricky Schroder and his wife Andrea once. I didn’t know he and Robyn dated :-)
