Teen Drama Links for November 1, 2022
Almost exactly 13 years ago, I put the original TeenDramaWhore on a brief hiatus to go on my dream vacation: a week entirely by myself in Cancun.
Now I’m going to do it again, although this time I’m headed to Punta Cana.
This is actually my first real vacation since then. By “real,” I mean it’s the first time since 2009 that I’m going away for more than a long weekend to a location that isn’t just within three hours’ driving distance. I couldn’t be more excited.
So, what does this mean for TDW? As I mentioned back in August, there will be no “Teen Drama Links” on November 8 or November 15 — it will return on November 22 with an extra-extra long edition covering the missed weeks. Podcast reactions will also be on hold; I am unsure yet whether those will resume November 14 or November 21.
Fortunately, I am not expecting any more schedule changes for the rest of this year. Also, I won’t be leaving you all empty-handed. Tomorrow, a post will go up that will keep you guys busy the next few weeks and beyond.
I do find it amusing that I’m going to Punta Cana (a) shortly after the “Drama Queens” podcast announced a contest to win a trip there and (b) during the “A Week in Tree Hill” convention in Wilmington, North Carolina. All of these “One Tree Hill” cast members are coming here, where I live, and I’ll be out of town.
In all honesty, though, I wouldn’t be going to the convention anyway. It’s funny — before I moved to Wilmington, I wanted to go to the “One Tree Hill” conventions held there so badly, but I couldn’t afford it. Since moving here in 2014, I still haven’t gone, simply because I can’t justify the absurd cost.
So, apart from the fact that I’m missing out on the chance for a random run-in with the stars, it’s just as well that I won’t be here next week. Instead, I’ll be basking in the Caribbean sunshine, reading lots of books, and generally escaping reality. A dream come true, again.

On last night’s “Dancing with the Stars,” Trevor Donovan (Teddy, 90210) received excellent feedback and a score of 39 for his beautiful contemporary, including his first 10s.
That put him in third place before the team dances, for which Donovan was captain of his team and got to choose his teammates (a reward of sorts for being in the bottom two last week). That round also earned a 39.
Donovan ended up with a final score of 78 out of 80 and finished the night tied for first place, which is incredible. And this time, he and partner Emma Slater escaped the bottom two. A Halloween treat indeed.
