The story about you getting a scoop from Penn is so cool!
On my end, I had heard a lot about Gossip Girl, but never really watched it or looked into what it was. It's kind of still the same with Pretty Little Liars for me - I still haven't watched that show, despite being 99.9% sure I would love it. But sometimes in the Fall 2010 (I think it was September or October), I was in NYC with a friend and we randomly stumbled on the production shooting a scene (they were shooting an early Season 4 scene with Blake Lively and Sam Page - a scene where he steals Serena's morning cab and they bicker about it). The friend I was with was already watching GG and was soo excited. This was like the moment that finally made me decide to give this show a try and I was instantly hooked! I was a huge Chair shipper. I haven't rewatched the show since over 10 years though, and everyone tells me that rewatching it as an adult/with 2020 perspective, I will hate Chuck and wish they were not together for Blair's sake. I also really liked the brief Nate and Serena on-screen romance, and think it's criminal they they did not end together. :( I really should do a re-watch though, there's so many details/storylines I forgot. I remember Sebastian Stan having a reccuring role, but I don't really remember what his character was doing in the show haha.
Fun fact: I bumped into Jessica Szohr the other day in my city while walking my pup! She is super friendly. I actually didn't really recognize her at first (she was wearing sunglasses) but recognized her voice!
Such a cute picture!

Oh, there are soooo many shows I haven't seen even though I know I would love them. If only there were more hours in the day!
Well, I have a whole essay on Chair being an abusive relationship, so... yeah. But I did really love Serenate (in addition to Derena).
How cool that you stumbled upon filming -- and that you just ran into Jessica! If you see her again, tell her I'd like to talk to her ;-)
