There are other pop culture things on my mind when I can’t sleep — not just the teen dramas.
Instead of counting sheep, I will...
-Name all the “Harry Potter” spells I can remember (e.g., Stupify)
-Name every celebrity kid I can think of (e.g., Apple Martin)
-Name every star with a given name (e.g., Tom — Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Tom Hiddleston, Tom Pelphrey, etc.)
-Connect an actor to a movie to an actor to a movie and so on (e.g, Tom Cruise starred in Jerry Maquire, which also starred Renee Zellweger, who starred in Cold Mountain, which also starred...)
Does this actually help me fall asleep? Sometimes.
But since having COVID for the first time in August, I’ve been battling insomnia more often than not. It takes me hours to fall asleep these days. As a result, I’m in the market for some new tricks. Please send me any and all sleeping recs!
