Apologies for the last-minute decision not to publish “Teen Drama Links” last week.
I was dealing with a family health matter, and while the crisis isn’t over, I’m now back in Wilmington for the foreseeable future.
A mini rant: Many of us are all too aware of the problems with healthcare in this country. Among the many things I found myself frustrated with last week was having to pay for parking at the emergency room and hospital.
While this wasn’t new to me, it just pissed me off a bit extra this time. Why the hell should we have to pay to visit our sick relatives?
It’s unconscionable.
And don’t even get me started on the clusterfuck that is our airlines and airports.
Life is hard enough. Why must hospitals and airlines make it harder?
